Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Soccer is currently undefeated with 6 wins, and Ocean freshman midfielder Melanie Lockwood has played an integral role in the team's early success. The West Creek, NJ native currently ranks 2nd in the nation with 8 assists, with 2 of them occurring in September 27's win versus Atlantic Cape Community College. In the Vikings' following match against Union College on September 29, Melanie broke a scoreless tie in the 79th minute with the eventual game-winning goal. As the Vikings stare down their final 3 games of the regular season, Melanie will be as important as ever as the team moves forward and looks toward a potential postseason run.
