Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Soccer sophomore Juliana Rettino has played an essential role in the team's success this season, a year in which the Vikings finished 9th in the nation with a 7-2 overall record. Rettino, a team captain, finished 3rd on the team in goals (5) and 2nd in assists and points (7, 17), but more important that any particular statistic, she was a leader whose attitude and drive pushed her team to succeed.

"This girl hustles every second out on the field no matter who she is playing. There is never any quit in her," remarked OCC Women's Soccer Head Coach Breeana Cassidy. "Jules has a lot to do with the incredible season the Vikings are having. Not only is she an absolute baller, but a great teammate and person as well."

Juliana was named 2022 NJCAA Region XIX and Garden State Athletic Conference D-III Women's Soccer Player of the Year upon the regular season's conclusion.

OCC Women's Soccer travels to Herkimer, NY from November 9-13 to compete in the NJCAA D-III Women's Soccer Championship tournament.
