Toms River, NJ - OCC Baseball launched their 2024 season on March 1 with a 7-4 win at Salem Community College, and Ocean sophomore right fielder Carl Barth seemed to be in midseason form. Barth, a Jackson Liberty H.S. graduate, hit 4 for 5 in this season opener, with a double, 3 RBI, and a stolen base. He was equally fantastic on defense, making multiple catches that helped preserve the lead and secure the win for Ocean.
After numerous weather-related postponements, Carl and the Vikings hope to return to the field for game #2 on Saturday, March 10, when they host Luzerne Community College in a 12 P.M. doubleheader.
