Toms River, NJ - The Ocean County College Athletic department has announced that they will field a Women’s Lacrosse team, beginning with the Spring season of 2020. Long requested by potential student-athletes, the team will compete under the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA)’s Region 19 (D-III) designation, joining Ocean’s 13 currently active teams. “We’re very excited to launch women’s lacrosse at Ocean, both as a department and as a college,” remarked OCC Executive Director of Athletics Ilene Cohen. “The more opportunities we have to serve the needs of potential and current students, the better.”
