Toms River, NJ - Ocean County College Baseball's Matt Malatesta was named Pitcher of the Week by both the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) for the week ending April 9, 2018. The sophomore right-hander tossed a complete-game no-hitter that included ten strikeouts in an 8-0 win over Division II opponent Manor College on Saturday (4/7). The 6'1" Southern Regional H.S. graduate is currently ranked fifth in the nation with an ERA of 0.78 on the season, and is a perfect 4-0 in four total appearances so far in 2018.
