Toms River, NJ - OCC Esports wrapped their Spring 2021 regular season of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate play on Tuesday (4/7), with Vikings freshman Jackson French shutting out Irvine Valley Community College, 4-0, to complete his undefeated season, the first in program history. French ended the season with a 9-0 singles record, and an automatic berth in the postseason. OCC sophomore Brandon Carman and freshman Alex Restivo also competed in Week 9, with Carman falling to Jackson College, 4-0, and Restivo losing to Irvine Valley Community College, 4-1.

"Jackson did it," remarked OCC Esports Head Coach John Ruhl. "He'll be looking to join David Rapinsky as a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate singles champion! The competition was tough this season," Ruhl continued. "We only have one playoff qualifier. Team captain (and 2020 postseason competitor) Luke Leonard had a tough group."
