Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Tennis sent five players to the Region XIX Tennis Championships, held this year at Mercer County Park. Three players won their quarterfinal matches to advance to the semifinals. Isaiah Hill (1st Singles), Anthony Mazzone (4th Singles), and Ryan Patterson (5th Singles) each scored points toward the overall team score by advancing to the semifinals.  Although all three bowed out in that round, the points they earned propelled the Vikings to a 4th place finish in the Region, with a 3-6 overall record. The Vikings were a young team this season and expect four returners in 2019, which bodes well for an even more competitive season next year.

First-year Head Coach Wayne Ruhl stated, "This team was a great group of student-athletes to work with. They improved with every match and played hard from the first point right up to match point. I am very proud of their performance this season".
