It has been a tough 10 days since for OCC baseball since their return from Myrtle Beach. The Vikings were stuck in a 4 game losing streak filled with fielding errors and baserunning blunders. All that ended yesterday with a much-needed win over Bergen. Southpaw Matt Daukchus showed tremendous poise and talent despite freezing temperatures and a error-filled first inning. The sophomore from Howell, pitch 8 strong innnings, giving up 4 runs (all un-earned) on 7 hits while striking out 8 Bulldogs. At the plate, Matt Corsi had 3 hits and 2 RBI's, Rob DiSanti had 3 hits and scored 3 runs and Quintin Garvin flashed some incredible leather with a warning-track catch in centerfield. The Vikings will look to add to the win this Thursday when they battle GSAC foe Middlesex. First pitch is at 3:30pm right here at OCC.
