Toms River, NJ - OCC Baseball improved their record to 16-6 overall and picked up their biggest win of the season on Tuesday (4/9), in a 6-4 defeat of nationally-ranked #6 Brookdale Community College.
Ocean sophomore pitcher Don Zellman improved to a league-leading 6-0 record, throwing 8 strong innings in the start. Reliever Jared Kwicinski appeared in the 9th inning to strike out the side and record the save. Mike Valerio, Sean Bernardo, and Louis Mandile each drove in runs in this exciting win, which marks Ocean's fourth in a row. The team next heads to Lehigh, PA on Thursday, April 11th to take on Lehigh Carbon CC in a 3:30 p.m. contest before heading to Vineland, NJ to take on the #1 team in the country, the Dukes of Cumberland County College in a 12 p.m. doubleheader.
