Toms River, NJ - Ocean County College Men's Basketball were defeated by Camden County College, 81-73 on Saturday (12/1).
The Vikings started the game slowly, and it wound up costing them dearly against the Cougars, who seized the opportunity to open up a sizable lead at the half. "A slow start led to a 15-point half time deficit for us," remarked Vikings Head Coach Patrick Boylan. "Our 2nd half surge came up just short. Shooting 25 of 44 from the free throw line really hurt us."
Ocean sophomore Sean O'Donnell made the most of his time on the court, leading the team with 22 points and 6 steals, while freshman Tyric Trapp added 14 points and 4 rebounds in the effort.
The Vikings return to action on Tuesday, December 4th when they host Cumberland County College in conference play. The teams tip-off at 6:00 p.m.
