OCC Lacrosse Ends Regular Season with 14-7 Victory Against Brookdale CC

Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Lacrosse (5-6) finished their regular season in grand fashion, with a 14-7 win against heated conference rival Brookdale Community College. Ocean freshman midfielder AJ Alvarez led Vikings scoring with 4 goals and an assist, while Nick Parente scored 2 with 3 assists. Parente, who scored 5 goals in Ocean's previous game against Potomac State, finishes the regular season leading the team in both goals and points, with 29 and 40, respectively. Ocean's defensive corps, led by captains Joe Jinks and Mike Trezza, were outstanding once more, with goaltender Trezza making 9 saves on Brookdale's 16 shots.

The Vikings will next take to the field on Saturday, April 28, when they travel to Delaware Technical Community College to compete in the 2018 NJCAA Region XIX Semifinals, where they will take on Brookdale Community College in the 1st round, at 4 p.m.
