Toms River, NJ - First Team All-Region 19 selection Doug Jensen tallied a goal (assisted by Matt Singh) and assisted Scott Larsen on the game-winner before the home crowd as the Ocean County College men's soccer team shutout County College of Morris, 3-0 in the 1st round of the NJCAA Region XIX playoffs. The Vikings' midfield, led by Larsen as defensive center mid, provided great ball distribution, while attacking central midfielders Andrew Jozwicki and Ryan Cheslock combined effectively and provided strength on the ball to maintain control throughout the match. Ocean's defense, led by Dylan Kanson, Kyle Unger, Jhon Ortiz, and Chandler Gibbons also proved highly effective, along with goalkeeper Robert Andrade, who recorded 7 saves in a dominant performance. Cedric Cook also provided a goal for the Vikings (assisted by Jhon Ortiz).
With this win, the Vikings' next match will be on Wednesday, October 25 at 2:30, when they travel to Sussex County Community College to meet the Skylanders in the semifinal round of the NJCAA Region XIX playoffs.
