Branz Powers Vikings to 7-1 Win Against Raritan Valley CC

Toms River, NJ - Ocean freshman Cory Branz netted two goals and assisted on another to lead the Ocean County College Vikings past Raritan Valley Community College, 7-1 in Region XIX men's soccer action.

With 9 goals and 6 assists, Branz's 24 total points places him 22nd in the nation in the category, with 4 games remaining in the regular season.

Also contributing to the Viking scoring threat were Justin Alves with two goals, Matt Singh with a goal and an assist, and Kevin Miller and Harmony Bel Gam, who each supplied a goal. Scott Larsen, Jacob Kirinovic, Chris Bragen and GK Robert Andrade provided assists in a match that was controlled from start to finish by Ocean. 

Andrade made 5 saves to earn his 6th win of the 2018 season. He is currently ranked 3rd in the NJCAA with 94 saves thus far. Additionally, he has saved 3 of the last 4 penalty kicks against him and on the attacking end, has contributed two assists this season. 

The Vikings next travel to #3 Nassau Community College on Saturday, October 7th for a 12 p.m. NJCAA matchup.
