OCC Vikings Fall to Camden CC Cougars, 3-1

Toms River, NJ - OCC Vikings Men's Soccer slipped to an overall record of 5-2 after a 3-1 road loss to Camden County College on Thursday (9/26).

The Cougars, ranked #6 nationally, struck first, scoring in the match's 2nd and 25th minutes, establishing a 2-0 lead that would hold until the 57th, when Ocean's Mike Cambra scored on a free kick from 24 yards out to put the Vikings on the scoreboard.

The Vikings dominated possession in the 2nd half, with the defense (led by Kevin Miller) effectively keeping play trained on Camden's half of the pitch, but they were unable to score an equalizer. A Camden goal in the 83rd minute effectively put the win out of reach for Ocean.

OCC Men's Soccer returns to the field on Saturday, September 28th, when they travel to Sussex County Community College for a 12 p.m. Region XIX/GSAC battle against the Skylanders.
