Vikings Look Strong in 2-0 shutout of Middlesex College

Toms River, NJ - Following the offensive fireworks of Thursday's 8-1 victory against RCSJ Cumberland, OCC Men's Soccer carried forward their aggressive offense against Middlesex College on Saturday (9/11), shutting out the Blue Colts, 2-0, for their first conference win of this nascent 2021 season.

Ocean scoring was opened by Kristian Talas, who put away a side volley in the 28th minute, assisted by Danny Moreno. The visiting Vikings then padded their lead in the match's 72nd minute, courtesy of a precision chip of the Middlesex goalkeeper by Cian Scott, assisted by Ryan Brodeur.

The Viking defense played tough but disciplined in keeping a clean sheet and helping goalkeeper Shane Cramer earn his first shutout of the season.

The Vikings next take on Northampton Community College at home at Ocean County College Stadium on Tuesday, Sept 14 at 4pm.
