Toms River, NJ - OCC sophomore team captain Aniello Lubrano scored a hat trick and assisted on 2 others as the Vikings defeated Northampton Community College, 7-1 on Tuesday (9/14) in a Region 19 matchup at Ocean County College Stadium. Lubrano currently ranks in the top 10 in the NJCAA in goals (4) and points (11).
Ocean freshman Johnny Hart recorded 3 assists in the match, bringing his early season total to 5, which ranks 5th nationally in the NJCAA. Freshman Kristian Talas added two goals to the Viking effort, bringing the team record to 3-0 in Region 19 play.
Additional scoring was provided by freshmen Giovanni Hernandez and Cian Scott. Scott also recorded an assist, as did freshman central midfielder and co-captain Junior Bravo Ortega.
Ocean outshot Northampton 26-7 and controlled play throughout the match.
