OCC Men's Soccer Earns 10th Win in 2-0 Shutout at Union County College

Toms River, NJ - The Ocean County College Vikings men's soccer team earned their 10th win of the season via a 2-0 victory over the Union County College Owls in Clark, NJ on Monday night (10/11).

OCC freshman midfielder Johnny Hart set up the first goal in the 15th minute of play by getting behind the Owl defense on the right flank and delivering a precision cross to sophomore captain Aniello Lubrano, who powered the ball home for the match's opening goal. With that delivery, Hart recorded his team-high 8th assist of the season, while Lubrano scored his team-leading 13th goal. 

The Vikings' 2nd goal came in the 70th minute, as Freshmen Nate Szwed whipped in a firm cross for freshmen Dane Bodziak to finish, giving Bodziak his 2nd goal in 3 matches. 

Ocean's freshmen goalkeeper Shane Cramer recorded his 4th shutout of the season while making 5 saves on the evening.

The Vikings (10-1), currently ranked 9th nationally in the NJCAA, next host the Camden CC Cougars (8-1-1), ranked 4th in the NJCAA, on Thursday, October 14 at 4pm, in what should be an explosive matchup with postseason implications.
