Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Soccer captain and newly-named NJCAA Region 19 Player of the Year Aniello Lubrano scored two goals Saturday against Salem CC to advance the nationally-ranked #10 Vikings to the Region 19 Final.
Lubrano (18g, 6a) scored in the 24th and 77th minutes, with both goals assisted by center back Ryan Brodeur. Lubrano is now ranked 4th in NJCAA in goals and 5th in overall points.
Dane Bodziak scored in the match's 84th minute with an assist by Evan Wismar to increase the Viking lead, while goalkeeper Shane Cramer was formidable in net, recording 7 saves in the contest.
Ocean takes on the #7 Sussex CC Skylanders next Saturday, October 30 at 12:30pm in Newton, NJ in the Region 19 Championship. The winner advances to the NJCAA National Championships, scheduled to take place in Herkimer, NY from November 10-14.
