OCC Men's Tennis Tops Williamson Trade, 6-3

Toms River, NJ - Ocean County College Men's Tennis picked up their 2nd win of the season on Saturday (4/21) with a 6-3 home win against Williamson Trade. The match began with doubles matches, and the 1st doubles team of Isaiah Hill and Tim Kelleher won a hard-fought contest by an 8-6 final for Ocean. The 2nd OCC doubles team of Anthony Mazzone and Ryan Patterson also won their match by a score of 8-5, while the 3rd doubles team of Louis Garcia and Grant Tokarski lost 8-1, so heading into the singles portion of the match, Ocean held a slim 2-1 overall lead. Ocean took over the match in singles play, winning four of the six matches. At 1st singles, Isaiah Hill battled back from a 5-2 deficit in the 1st set to rattle off 9 straight games to take control and eventually win the match, 7-5, 6-1. Ocean's Tim Kelleher at 2nd singles, Anthony Mazzone at 4th singles, and Ryan Patterson at 5th singles all handled their opponents with relative ease, giving the Vikings a 6-3 victory.

The Vikings have two remaining matches, including hosting Mercer CC at home on Tuesday, April 24 at 3:30 p.m.
