Toms River, NJ - After a rain out on Saturdays games 2nd seeded Ocean came out to play the best of three series verse the 3rd seed Dukes of Cumberland County Sunday afternoon. The afternoon started out rocky with the Dukes coming out strong and winning game one with a final score of 16-10. 

In game two the Vikings never quit. At the start of the 4th inning the Vikings were down 12-1. Adding in some clutch hits the Vikings began putting runs up on the board. In the bottom of the 7th inning the Vikings were down 11-13. Ocean was able to tied it up with Marissa Stadtmauer at the plate and April Szymcyck on 2nd base. Marissa Stadtmauer crushed the ball for a walk off double and to tie the series at 1-1. The dream of Nationals for the Vikings was still alive!

Game 3 began strong with a 3 up 3 down first inning for pitcher Ashley Hussey. The game was a battle as the Vikings put runs on the board the Dukes fought back. But the Vikings would come out on top and win the series and Region Title with a 7-5 victory over the Dukes.
