Toms River, NJ - OCC Softball's win streak increased to five games in a thrilling doubleheader sweep at Montgomery County CC on Tuesday (4/23).
GAME 1 - Ocean sophomore Hailey Dries pitched a shutout as the Vikings won 16-0 to start the day's games against the Mustangs. Ryanne Fetzer batted 2 for 4 with a double and 3 RBIs, while Ashley Bayles and Kayley Scheuffler each blasted pinch-hit singles that added to the Vikings' total.
GAME 2 - Ocean's Dries picked up her second shutout win of the day in an 8-0 victory. Stefanie Gacho hit 3-3 with a double, two triples, and 4 RBIs, while Cassidy Buckey went 2-4 with a double and 2 runs scored in the win.
Hailey Dries is ranked 5th in the nation in strikeouts (88) and 9th in wins (10) as the Vikings make a push for the postseason. The team returns to action on Thursday, April 25th, when they head to Camden County College for a 3:30 p.m. doubleheader against the Cougars.
