Toms River, NJ - The Ocean County College Vikings defeated Sussex County Community College by a final score of 68-55. Leading the team to victory were captains Courtney Hagaman, Nicole Gardner and Shaniece Hardy. Hagaman led with a double-double, grabbing 10 rebounds and scoring 39 points, followed by Gardner with 15 points, and Hardy with 10 points. Christina Van Der Vliet showed a tremendous effort on the defensive end, with 15 rebounds.
The Vikings' next game will be in the first round of the NJCAA Region XIX playoffs, scheduled to begin on Monday, February 27th (opponent and time are to be determined).
