Toms River, NJ - The Ocean County College Vikings women's basketball team (2-21) fell to GSAC opponent Sussex County Community College on Saturday (2/17) by a final score of 55-48, concluding the Vikings' 2017-18 season. The team finishes with a 2-21 overall record, with a 1-15 record in the Garden State Athletic Conference. The contest marked the final game for Ocean sophomore Sydney Ulrich, who scored 31 points and supplied 6 rebounds in the losing effort. Ulrich, the team captain, finishes her OCC basketball career having scored an impressive 702 total points.
Despite the adversity faced this season (as evidenced by their record), the Vikings remained committed and hard-working, and will look to be in the championship picture in the 2018-19 season!
