Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Basketball (0-13) suffered their 13th loss of the season on Tuesday (1/15) in a 92-41 defeat at the hands of Brookdale Community College (16-1).
The Jersey Blues (currently ranked #1 in Region XIX) extended an 11-point lead after the 1st quarter to 25 at the half, and didn't look back. Ocean has been battling hard for their first win of the season. Unfortunately, tonight was not the night.
Ocean freshman Kyarra Williams again led Vikings scoring with a 21 point performance. Also noteworthy was newcomer Stefanie Gacho, who made her impression felt in her first game for OCC, with 9 points and 9 rebounds in her 38 minutes on the court.
The Vikings return to action on Thursday, January 17th, when they travel to Northampton Community College to take on the Spartans in a 5 p.m. showdown.
