The fall 2021-22 season marked Coach John's first as the assistant coach of OCC's Women Soccer program. Coach Merklin arrived at Ocean with nearly 20 years of soccer coaching, training and officiating under his proverbial belt, ranging from coaching girls' teams whose ages ranged from 4-18, several of whom later played on the Vikings!
