Toms River, NJ - Ocean County College Vikings Volleyball (10-3) came out strong on Tuesday night (9/26) against Union CC, landing 7 kills and 9 service aces in the first set, winning by a 25-6 score. Their offense was perfectly executed with strong passing from Gianna Addalli, consistent setting from Samantha Allen, and powerful hitting from Amanda Irwin, Savanna Oliverio and Dionna Gonnella. The Vikings made some errors in set two, falling behind early and allowing their opponent some momentum, leading to a 25-17 Union win. With strong serving from Erin Dellane and key attacks at the net by Pascal El-Khouri, the Vikings rallied back in sets 3 and 4, racking up 21 kills, and 8 service aces to win the game, 3-1. The win is the Vikings' sixth straight, as they head into four straight conference matchups, the first of which will be a game at home against Passaic County Community College on Thurday, September 28 at 7 p.m.
