Toms River, NJ - Congratulations to Macayla Lindner and Patrick Schlagenhaft, our OCC Vikings Players of the Week!
Ocean CC Women’s Volleyball sophomore Macayla Lindner (Beachwood, NJ/Donovan Catholic) has been a force on the court through the Vikings’ first 7 matches of the season. Lindner, a sophomore outside hitter from Beachwood, NJ who is currently ranked 5th in the nation in hitting percentage (.386) and in the top 20 in kills per set (16th, 3.59 k/s), most recently powered Ocean through their October 4 tri-match at Passaic CCC, in which she executed a total of 45 points and 38 kills through two wins versus HACC and the host Panthers. OCC Women's Volleyball next takes the court on Monday, October 6, when they host the Delaware County CC Phantoms at 6pm.
OCC Men's Soccer's Patrick Schlagenhaft (Brick, NJ/Brick Memorial) answered the call for the Vikings on September 30, scoring the eventual game-winning goal just 2 minutes into the Vikings' 3-0 shutout at Camden CC. The forward/midfielder has 4 goals this season, and returns to action on Tuesday, October 7, when the Vikings host Bergen CC at 4pm.
