Grant Tokarski is OCC Viking of the Week

Toms River, NJ - Ocean County College student-athlete (Men's Cross Country, Men's Tennis) Grant Tokarski was one of three student presenters (from 80 participants) who spoke at OCC's Honors by Contract Celebration on Tuesday, December 4th.

The Honors by Contract program, administered by Ocean's Academic Affairs department, allows high achieving students (3.5 GPA or higher) the opportunity to work individually with faculty members on directed higher level educational activities that are related to course objectives, while being enrolled in a regular course. Grant is a two-sport athlete (Cross Country, Tennis) with a 4.0 grade point average, whose presentation topic was the illegal trade of tigers in China. "I explained what organizations are trying to do to prevent poaching, and also what China's government is doing about the situation," remarked Tokarski. Grant made his presentation before OCC President Dr. Jon Larson, as well as Ocean's administrators and other distinguished members of the college community.

Congratulations to Grant for being named OCC Viking of the Week!
