Toms River, NJ - Congratulations to Talia Duralek and Evan Kwortnik, our OCC Vikings Players of the Week!
OCC Softball freshman Talia Duralek (Manahawkin, NJ/Southern Regional) has been putting it all together on the field this season. Duralek is batting .321 with 9 hits through Ocean's first 10 games, and has impressed on defense as well, with 5 putouts at shortstop in the Vikings' first meeting against Northampton CC on March 22. OCC Softball's next games are this Friday, March 28, when they host Camden CC at 4 P.M.
Ocean CC Baseball sophomore Evan Kwortnik (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) is absolutely locked in. Kwortnik, the Vikings' designated hitter, drove in 10 runs over Ocean's last 3 games, including a performance versus UCNJ in which he belted 2 home runs and drove in 4 in an 18-5 win. OCC Baseball have won 3 straight games, and next takes the field on Friday, March 28, when they host RCSJ Cumberland at 3 P.M.
