Toms River, NJ - Congratulations to Batool Abdelmalak and Sky Jodice, our OCC Vikings Players of the Week!

Batool Abdelmalak - OCC Women's Cross Country freshman Batool Abdelmalak (Toms River, NJ/Manchester Twp.) led the Vikings to a 2nd place team finish at the Jersey Blues Invitational, hosted by Brookdale Community College on September 21. Batool, who led Ocean with a time of 24:56, placed 5th individually at the meet, and also set the pace for her team the week prior, with a 30:55 finish at Stockton University's Osprey Open (held on September 14). Batool will return to action on Saturday, October 12, when the Vikings travel to NJIT to compete in the Highlander Invitational.

Sky Jodice - OCC Men's Soccer's Sky Jodice (Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat) was unstoppable in the Vikings' 9-2 rout at Atlantic Cape CC on September 17, scoring 3 goals and assisting on another in the dominant win. Sky, a freshman midfielder from Barnegat, NJ, is now tied for 2nd on the team in goals (3) as the Vikings continue their 6-game road trip with a 4 P.M. match on Tuesday, September 24 at Raritan Valley CC.
