Toms River, NJ - In a thrilling matchup on October 16, the OCC Overwatch 2 Collegiate Series team secured a crucial victory against CASC in Match 29 of a best-of-five series. The Vikings came out strong, taking Game 1 with a 2-0 score, followed by a tight 1-0 win in Game 2. In Game 3, they sealed the series with a 2-1 victory, winning the match 3-0 overall.
Reflecting on the win, freshman Marc Marcelo shared, "We experienced loss in the past few weeks, but came together as a team tonight."
"This victory marked a turning point for the team, as they built on the momentum from recent efforts, just in time to start peaking for a playoff run," remarked OCC Esports Head Coach John Ruhl.
