Vikings Esports Swept 4-0 in Week 7

Toms River, NJ - Ocean County College Esports had a challenging evening in their seventh week of play, absorbing a tough 4-0 loss in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate singles competition.

Jacob Leiva fell to Gogebic CC, 4-2, Luke Leonard went down to Madison County CC, 4-0, and Brandon Carman and Nick Bushell lost in identical 4-1 final scores to Beaver County CC and Calhoun CC, respectively.

"Jacob and Nick were close in most of their matches, but the toss-up situations didn't go our way tonight," remarked OCC Esports Head Coach John Ruhl. "Jacob still has a good chance to qualify for the playoffs, but he is in a must-win situation heading into the last week of competition."

The Vikings compete in their eighth and final regular season week of play on Tuesday, December 1 at 6pm. Catch the action live via the team's Twitch channel, located here.
