Dear Coaches, Students & Our Entire Viking Family —

This upcoming spring semester for us here in OCC Athletics will continue to process the effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic together. Academic classes will resume remotely with limited hybrid classes on campus.

Therefore, in compliance with New Jersey’s coronavirus pandemic-related rules and regulations and, most importantly, in the interest of the health and safety of our students and staff, Ocean County College has deemed that for the Winter & Spring Athletic Teams scheduled to participate that ALL Athletic Programs will not compete in practices and or competition this spring 2021 season during the pandemic.

This decision was not made lightly, yet we must do our part to stop the spread of COVID-19. We will continue to monitor the situation through Spring 2021 and will provide updates as they are available.

We will continue to focus on the importance of academics and finishing strong in the classrooms to maintain eligibility. This is a key factor for each and every student-athlete so that when we do receive the green light and it is safe for our students and staff to begin, all those looking to take part in our teams will meet the NJCAA academic eligibility requirements for participation.
