Toms River, NJ - OCC Baseball lost a doubleheader on the road to nationally-ranked #1 Cumberland County College by scores of 3-2 and 4-3 on Saturday (3/17). Ocean led both games going into the respective last innings, only to give up the go-ahead runs!
Freshman pitchers Tom Corragio and Don Zellman both pitched outstanding games, going the distance in both games. Sophomore Ron Velardi led the offensive charge for the Vikings, doubling and driving in 2 runs in the nightcap, while sophomore Andrew Slinger did the same in the opening game.
The Vikings next head home to play a doubleheader with Bucks County C.C. on Sunday, March 18.
