Ed McRae has been the Head Baseball Coach at Ocean County College since the spring of 2012. He brings with him a wealth of coaching and playing experience. 

As a player, Coach McRae played at Wall Township High School and Gardner-Webb University. He was drafted professionally by the Pittsburgh Pirates and Kansas City Royals. 

Coach McRae coached for USA Baseball, and has a distinguished collegiate career, with an overall baseball coaching record of over 600 wins. He has been named Coach of the Year four times and won two Region Championships. Thirteen of his players have been named All-Americans, while over 100 have gone on to continue playing at the four-year college level. Coach McRae is a published baseball author, and also served as Player Evaluation Coordinator for the 9ers baseball organization.

Coach McRae believes in developing players as both students and athletes. He also believes in instilling committment in players and to the program, and in developing character both on and off the field with baseball being the driving force in their development as a person.
