Cranford, NJ – The OCC Men's Basketball team lost their season opener to Union County College 77-67 this past Saturday. Despite an strong 2nd half, and a double-double by forward Jared Rankins, the Vikings could not overcome the 20 point deficit they found themselves in at halftime. Guard, Deion Utrera scored 19 points and had 8 assists. Freshman Mike Golden also scored 19 and 4 steals. The Vikings next game will be Tuesday 11/10 at Rowan College at Gloucester County. Tip-off is 7pm.
