Toms River, NJ Ocean County College Men's Basketball team battled to a 2 point loss at Brookdale Community College last night. The young Vikings defense held Brookdale to their lowest point total of the season. Battling back within 2 points with 10 seconds left, the Vikings leading scorer Mike Golden (22 points) was called for a controversial offensive foul on a clear path to a game tying layup.
Freshmen Mike Golden lead the Vikings with 22 points (5 - 3 pointers) and 7 rebounds. 6'6 sophomore Jared Rankins had 20 points, 19 rebounds. 6'7 Sophomore Brian Sullivan added 10 rebounds, and Ted Thelemaque had 12 points and 6 rebounds.
Ocean County College Men's Basketball will return to the home court Tuesday December 15th to play Atlantic Cape at 7pm.
