Toms River, NJ Ocean County College Men's Basketball Team takes over in 2nd half to win a comeback thriller. Down 6 points at halftime, the young Vikings re-grouped with a high energy 49 point 2nd half. The Vikings took the lead on a clutch bucket from Deion Utrera with 2.5 seconds left to play.
Lead by Freshmen shooting guard Mike Golden with 28 points, Atlantic Cape could not find a way to stop his scoring attack and his distribution to team mates. Corey Thomas came up big in the second half finishing with 16 points and also played some great lock down defense. Sophomore Forward Brian Sullivan kept the Vikings in the game with 12 points, 11 rebounds and 2 big blocks. Deion Utrera also added 5 assists.
The Vikings look to continue playing well as they end first semester play this Thursday on the road at Lehigh Carbon.
