Toms River, NJ Ocean County College Freshmen Ted Thelemaque dropped 38 points on Union County last night to help propel the Vikings to a home victory in overtime 69-61.
The young Vikings were down 5 points at halftime, but utilized a total team effort to fight back into overtime. While Union County focused their defense on stopping Mike Golden, Ocean County had other offensive weapons to use. 6'5 Freshmen Ted Thelemaque took the ball to the rack all 2nd half. He ended up with 38 points, 11 rebounds, 3 steals, 15 for 19 from the free throw line, including the final 7 free throws in OT to seal the game.
Mike Golden also contributed 10 points, 4 rebounds, Deion Utrera 7 points, 4 rebounds (2 huge 3-pointers in the 2nd half) and Freshmen Jordan Craig had 9 rebounds and 3 block shots.
The Vikings will continue their home streak again Tuesday against Camden CC and Thursday against Cumberland CC. Both games at 7:00 pm.
