Hamilton, NJ The Ocean County College men's basketball team earned a tough road victory tonight at Atlantic Cape 85-77. Playing a tough man defense all night, Ocean County took the lead at halftime 34-30 and never looked back all night, despite 4 players fouling out.
Leading the way for the vikings was Freshmen guard Corey Thomas 26 points, 4 assists, 0 turnovers and 10-12 from the free throw line. His tough lock down defense helped create havoc for Atlantic Cape all night. Freshmen Ted Thelemaque dropped 21 points, 15 rebounds in a solid night before fouling out. Mike Golden was on fire in the 2nd half with 3 straight 3-pointers to break the game open and give the Vikings an 18 point lead at one point. Golden finished with 20 points (5 treys) 3 rebounds, 2 assists.
Next up for the Vikings will be Del-Tech Stanton, a Region 19 Division 2 Junior College in Delaware this Saturday at 3:00pm.
