Toms River, NJ - The Ocean County College men's basketball team lost a close contest to the Dukes of Cumberland County College, with a final score of 86-80. The game was tied at 35 at half time, and the Vikings fought hard down the stretch, but were stopped short by two consecutive offensive foul calls. Sophomore Corey Thomas led the way for the Vikings with 28 points, and Mergim Gjyriqi added 17 points and 8 rebounds. Ted Thelemaque had 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Roy Russell IV contributed 7 points and 10 rebounds.
Next up for the Vikings is a home game versus #1-ranked Passaic County on Saturday (12/10) at 3pm.
