Toms River, NJ - The Ocean County College Vikings men's basketball team finished a strong road win with a gutsy defensive effort to defeat Montgomery County Community College, 91-86. Utilizing strong rebounding, blocked shots, and a full team effort, the Vikings have propelled themselves to a 5-2 record in Region 19. The core sophomore leaders of the team led the charge in this matchup, and took over in the second half. Shooting guard Mike Golden finished with 31 points and 7 rebounds, and Corey Thomas delivered 20 points and 5 assists. Ted Thelemaque broke out for 15 points and 12 rebounds, and Jordan Craig exploded for 7 points, 12 rebounds and 10 blocks.
Next up for the Vikings will be a home matchup on Thursday (12/15) at 5pm against the Brookdale Community College Jersey Blues.
