Toms River, NJ - The Ocean County College Vikings men's basketball team (1-8) lost their 7th consecutive game last night, in a 116-74 defeat at the hands of visiting Brookdale Community College. Vikings freshman forward Alfred Demby scored 24 points and pulled down 8 rebounds on the night. The Lakewood, NJ native is averaging 22.2 points per game this season, and continues to provide consistency in what has been a difficult season thus far. OCC freshman guard Patrick Marinaccio contributed 15 points and 8 rebounds in the loss as well. After the game, Vikings HC Patrick Boylan spoke optimistically of the road ahead: "We're still going through growing pains, but hope this first semester of the season will prepare us to be successful during the second half."
The Vikings will seek their 2nd win of the season on Saturday, December 16 when they travel to Bergen Community College for a 2 p.m. matchup.
