OCC Men's Basketball Upsets Brookdale Community College in 73-71 Thriller

Toms River, NJ - Ocean County College Men's Basketball (5-10) picked up their fifth win of the season on Tuesday (1/15) in a 73-71 upset against conference rival Brookdale Community College (9-7).

Ocean freshman guard/forward Anthony Petit-Clair led Vikings scoring with a 15-point, 6-rebound performance, followed closely by sophomore Sean O'Donnell, who supplied 14 points and 4 rebounds in the winning effort.

"Taking down the defending national champions at their place felt incredible," remarked OCC Head Coach Patrick Boylan. "It was a total team effort! Words can't express how happy Coach Andariese and I are for the players. They deserved this!"

The win snapped a two-game skid for the Vikings, and the team will try to use the momentum to power through their remaining 9 games of the regular season and earn a coveted place in the Region XIX postseason picture.

The Vikings return to action on Thursday, January 17th, when they travel to EPAC's Northampton Community College for a 7:00 p.m. matchup against the Spartans.
