Vikings' Win Streak Snapped at Two in 76-75 Loss to Camden CC

Toms River, NJ - Ocean County College Men's Basketball's win streak was stopped at two games in a tough 76-75 loss to visiting Camden County College on Monday (1/28). The loss, which dipped the Vikings' overall record to 7-12, was decided by a 3-point shot made by Camden freshman Corey Avery as time expired.

Ocean freshman Anthony Petit-Clair led Vikings scorers for the third consecutive game with a 22-point, 8-rebound effort, while freshman Francis Robles contributed 10 points. The team as a whole had a difficult time at the free throw line, shooting just 23 for 34, a result that may have cost them dearly.

"It was an outstanding effort from the guys. Too many mistakes at the end left the door open for a miraculous shot," recalled OCC Head Coach Patrick Boylan. "We have to have a short memory and bounce back quickly with a road game at Cumberland tonight."

As stated by Coach Boylan, the Vikings will look to shake off this agonizing defeat and return to the win column tonight, when they travel to Cumberland County College for a 7 p.m. GSAC battle.
