Vikings Fall to Nationally-Ranked RCGC, 94-79

Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Basketball (10-14) battled mightily against the fifth-ranked team in the nation on Tuesday (2/12), falling to the Roadrunners of Rowan College at Gloucester County by a 94-79 final score.

The Vikings had the Roadrunners on the defensive throughout the first half, perhaps surprising them with their offensive onslaught. It was a back-and-forth exchange throughout the game's first 20 minutes, with the Vikings ending the half leading, 44-42. The Roadrunners managed to pull away after intermission, outscoring Ocean 52-35 in the frame to secure the victory.

Vikings freshman Anthony Petit-Clair scored 22 points in the loss, while Carson Glenn Francisco contributed 19 points and 9 assists. Sophomore Sean O'Donnell added 19 points, along with 3 assists and 3 steals in a game that saw Ocean raise their play against the best team in the Region.

The Vikings will close out their season on Saturday, February 16th, when they host the Skylanders of Sussex County Community College in a 2 p.m. matchup.
