OCC Men's Basketball Falls to Salem CC, 71-67

Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Basketball fell to visiting Salem Community College in a heartbreaker on Tuesday (1/25), 71-67.

Ocean sophomore Jalen Jackson led team scoring (14 points) in a game which saw the Vikings and Mighty Oaks constantly trading the lead, down to the contest's closing moments. Freshman Ethan Paul (12 points), Wes Deitch (12 points), and Josh Kline (11 points) were all key contributors for the Vikings.

"The heart and fight were certainly there, unfortunately the shot making was not there in the second half," reflected OCC Men's Basketball Head Coach Patrick Boylan. "Ultimately it came down to not making shots. I thought we got some really good looks, but they just didn't fall tonight. Credit to Salem for switching to the zone in the 2nd half."

Ocean returns to action on Thursday, January 27, when they head to Brookdale Community College for a 5 P.M. GSAC matchup.
