Montano Lifts OCC Men's Basketball to 4th Straight Win in 83-81 Victory at RCSJ Cumberland

Toms River, NJ  - OCC Men's Basketball earned their 4th straight win on Tuesday (2/9) in a gritty 83-81 performance at RCSJ Cumberland.

Ocean sophomore point guard Nico Montano posted his best offensive performance of the season, leading the Vikings with 24 points on 11 for 16 shooting, and dishing out 5 assists in the win. Sophomore Jalen Jackson (16 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists), and freshmen Josh Kline (14 points, 11 rebounds) and Bryan Potter (14 points, 6 rebounds) also played key roles in taking down the Dukes.

"Tonight's game was a microcosm of this season," reflected OCC Men's Basketball Head Coach Patrick Boylan. "We faced adversity early, but were able to come together late and pull out a win. Overcoming foul difficulties, we had other guys really step up when their number was called. Montano had a career night and McCann hit a major shot to put us up late. We have to keep the momentum rolling now!"

The Vikings go for 5 wins in a row on Thursday, February 10, when they travel to Bergen Community College (who they defeated for the 1st win of this streak) for a 5 P.M. Garden State Athletic Conference battle.
