Jackson Drops 31 Points on Bergen CC as OCC Men's Basketball Wins 5th Straight, 86-82

Toms River, NJ - OCC sophomore guard Jalen Jackson scored 31 points as the Vikings' men's basketball team earned their 5th consecutive win on Thursday (2/11) in an 86-82 victory at Bergen Community College.

Jackson, who is currently ranked #12 nationally with 22.5 points per game, was in peak form against the Bulldogs, pulling in 5 rebounds and grabbing 6 steals in the win. It was a true team effort, with Josh Kline (14 PTS, 7 REB, 5 STL), Ethan Paul (12 PTS, 7 REB), Aaron Osborn (8 PTS, 7 REB), and Nico Montano (7 PTS, 8 AST) all digging deep.

"It was a gritty, conference road win. Both teams battled all night, but we were able to get timely defensive stops when we needed them, as well as make crucial shots down the stretch," remarked OCC Men's Basketball Head Coach Patrick Boylan. "I was very pleased to get out of there with the win, but we still need to clean some things up before Salem on Saturday."

The Vikings return to action on Saturday, February 12, when they head to Salem Community College for a 1 P.M. matchup.
