OCC Men's Hoops Are Red Hot, Pick up 3rd Straight Win in 93-88 Comeback at Passaic CCC

Toms River, NJ - Ocean County College Men's Basketball won their 3rd straight game on Tuesday (12/20) in a 93-88 comeback victory against the Panthers of Passaic County Community College. 

Ocean's dynamic duo of sophomores Josh Kline and Ethan Paul led the way for the Vikings' effort. Kline scored 24 points, while grabbing 9 steals, 5 rebounds, and dishing out 7 assists. Josh currently ranks 1st in the nation with 5.1 steals per game, and 7th in points per game, with 22.3. Ethan Paul dropped 28 points with 8 rebounds, and is also ranked nationally, 9th in points per game (21.5) and 14th with 10.4 rebounds per game. Vikings freshmen Dallas Weisse and Channing Williams played instrumental roles as well in keeping Ocean alive in a game that they trailed for nearly the duration. Weisse contributed 18 points, 3 steals, and 3 rebounds, while Williams scored 9, with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.

"Although we trailed nearly the entire game, we never believed we were going to lose," remarked OCC Men's Basketball Head Coach Patrick Boylan. "I couldn't have been more proud of the amount of heart the team played with tonight."

The Vikings close out 2022 with their 3rd straight game on the road, a December 22 matchup against the Middlesex College Blue Colts, with a scheduled tip-off at 7 P.M.
